    LA PAZ, Quezon, Gimba, area

    Hi,

Tried to find my way around this area the other day and discovered a lot of roads that are unmarked but very usable as short cuts to buypass the major traffic centers on both the east and west main hiways.

Being unfamiliar with the 276c, I left the tracking feature to off so I have no record of the places i passed. Does anyone have details of that area?

    how to track with 276c:

    - go to main menu
    - scroll down to track
    - record mode: fill
    - interval : time
    - value : 00:00:01

this will allow you about 3 hours of track recording.
if your trip will be more than 3 hours, use following settings:
    -interval : resolution
    - value: 10m

this will give you about 500 km minimum.

so next time you go there, you can record the missing roads.

    cheers
    jan
How to get the upgraded map.

    It's a sick world and I'm a happy man...

i posted this reply on the wrong thread ....

my GPS doesn't have a tracking function ... but i was able to get 3 waypoints. dunno if this is of any help.

anyway ... if you're travelling back to Manila from the north,
there is a turn from the Main Highway just after Talavera and before hitting Cabanatuan ( new signboards installed ) ... you'll pass by several small barangays ( Pamaldan , etc. ) then turn left just before hitting Aliaga . You'll rejoin the main highway just before Zaragoza ... continue on past LaPaz and hit Tarlac City or the SCTEX entrance.
