U turn error??

When driving up Shaw Blvd this morning also on the approach from Quirino, I had set my GPS for driving guidance to the Immigration car park, the voice kept coming up saying " Lantern" which I guess was for " U Turn" it even did it when no U Turn was near. So was distracting when trying to negotiate the traffic. Can this be switched off? to be honest I rarely use this.

hi john,
for gamin units, you can switch off u-turns on its settings.
look for navigation option then avoidances, you can check u-turns.
but the problem with that is you will have a longer route.
i also want to look at the map at those points you mentioned.
maybe there is an error on the map.
could you send me a file with waypoints of those locations where you
experience "lanterns".

hi john,
the first exit you are referring to is your entry point, that will become the reference point of the guidance in your route, so next exit will be its first.
in a roundabout, order of exits will be referred to your entry point.

I agree with what your saying, but that is my point, it says exit at first exit, it should say 2nd exit which bring me from Pres.JP Highway to Morada east into Town proper, instead it is guiding me to Morada West.

Track correction.

GPS Keeps on re-routing to other street when in fact it's just a straight drive.

E.g from Ronquillo going to Ying Ying Resto in Damsarinas Street.

the problem is the location of ying ying.
we will move it away from yuchengco so access will be from dasmarinas.

I have actually been there and confirmed this, as well as add new tracks.

It also depends on your actual position as read by gps.
In most cases it would be off on crowded area so gps might think that you are still on the other segment of roundabout.
