I have noticed when creating waypoints for streets, that after maybe 6 have been keyed in, the unit just goes dead/blank while setting up for a new waypoint, I then have to switch it back on, and have noticed the maps take some time to load after the satellites have been found etc.
And also today, it came up with a message before crashing, that a software upgrade was required??? I checked the software with Garmin last week, and upgraded to the latest version.
On checking the saved Wp's there were some which had not been fully saved, just rd1 Rd2 instead the road names I had keyed in. Also the tracks were missing as well.
How do I check if my Garmin is faulty??? Its out of warranty. Is there reset back to the original software install, or a test facility which can be used??
