Trip log on nüvi 50 cannot be cleared.

For those considering the new Garmin nüvi 30 40 & 50 models, take note that there is no menu option to clear the trip log. You will need to do a hard reset to clear the trip log. Garmin is supposed to fix this issue with an updated firmware but no news yet regarding this.

follow-up question, if i hard reset the unit do i need to re-upload my data (maps, wp, etc)

does trip log the same as 1 sec logging for track contributions?

doing a hard reset will delete saved waypoints. settings change to default. maps is still intact.

Trip log is not the same as 1-sec track log.
