I have a HTC HD2 unit and i read somewhere on this site that I need a garmin xt? Is that a software that i can download or unit that I should buy?

mobilext is no longer available. garmin has discontinued it, hence, no more support and it's not being sold anymore.

you'll have to be a contributor in order to get the latest roadguide ph map. the roadguide basic/free map can be downloaded from the Download Standard Philippines GPS Map sub-forum. how to get contributor status? check out the threads in How To sub-forum.

mobilext is no longer available. garmin has discontinued it, hence, no more support and it's not being sold anymore.

Here's the link to garmin's download site. It says on the top "discontinued" but I tried it and the download link still works. Not sure how you can pay for it though....

no. the free/basic/standard roadguide ph map is a few months old. it's the contributors map that gets updated regularly.

looks like you've downloaded the philippine contour map, the free/basic map installer is around 16mb+ lang. but yes, you can use the contour map on mobilext.

I'm not 100% sure but I do believe that GMXT for WinMo was discontinued since February last year (2009) so there will be no more updates.

can anyone help me out. on a recent trip to cam sur. i did a lot of waypoint entries in my garmin xt

which directory can i find it? it seems that it is lost somewhere in there? these points could be useful since these are the big gas stations where u can rest and all.

sir what im doing is frm xt i go to tools then manage my data then click manage then export gpx once it s done i connect my cp to my computer and open mapsource then frm ms i go to transfer tab and click receive from device and click find device once the device has been detected ill click waypoints frm "what to receive" then click recive, hope this help

connect your unit to pc. run mapsource and click on transfer then receive from device... under the "what to receive" options, un-select everything which you don't need to import in mapsource (eg. if you just need waypoints, leave everything unchecked except waypoints) then click the receive button.

afaik, there's no need to export your waypoints/tracks/etc. you go directly to letting mapsource receive whatever data you need from mobilext.

Maybe on ur unit but frm 5800 unless i exported the gpx frm d fone i could not access any saved data frm ms by just conecting it to a computer, maybe pong and i share the same problem

Bottom center of the map... the blue thing with an arrow takes you back to the main screen.
