          hello

          hi mjaymd,

actually you can start contributing before your nuvi arrive, and when it does if you contribute enough you can be a contributor and download it to your nuvi

          welcome
Empty your mind, be formless. Shapeless, like water. If you put water into a cup, it becomes the cup. You put water into a bottle and it becomes the bottle. You put it in a teapot it becomes the teapot. Now, water can flow or it can crash. Be water my friend.

You can also use mapsource if you know exact location of your POIs.

Exact location meaning - with corresponding latitude & longitude?

Its better but since we are talking of just a point, you could estimate its location at the midst of the area you are waypointing.
For example, if you know of a gas station at corners of Street A and B, you could simply put its waypoint say 15meter from the corner inward.

Great! I can probably do that with mapsource. one more question, in GE can you place POI? and contribute the kmz file? I read from other threads that you need to add the proper symbols? and GE don't have that right?

Better to prepare a gdb file.

I did waypoints in GE, saved as KMZ file. Converted it to GDB file using KMZGDB converter.
                        Thanks for the inputs
