    Desperate to contribute newbie LOL

    Hi Sirs,

First of all, bravo to you whoever created this whole project, what a way to contribute to our society! GALING! Hope I can do the same in the future. Anyhow, I bought a BMW motorrad navigator V (not pre-loaded) a few months ago and started working on it earlier today.

So I researched the FAQs and how to's etc. I've learned that
    -I can only use Basecamp
-I have to contribute ASAP LOL

I've downloaded the DEMO map, studied it and found some inaccuracies already that need to be corrected, from wrong building names to wrong locations of interests. But the problem is I'm just starting to ride the learning curve in using basecamp and would need some help with you guys. Here are some of my questions:
-How do I delete wrong POIs
-How do I adjust wrong POI locations? (sana may drag and drop)
-Do I just correct the wrong ones and just send the updated DEMO to the judge? Or do I just send the POIs that needs to be corrected?

Thanks in advance and MERRY XMAS!

Congratulations on your new device/Toy, I am not familiar with Motorrad Navigator but I assume it is Garmin based.

Also cool that you are very enthusiastic to get started. Here are some tips and answers to your questions:

    1. Basecamp, there is a new guide made for basecamp:
    http://roadguide.ph/forums/showthrea...-how-where-why

    2. Sorry there is no drag and drop for POI location edits, but it should be fairly easy.

    3. For POI or we call Waypoints, please visit the waypoints guide here:
    http://roadguide.ph/forums/showthrea...Waypoints-2013

    4. Some important reminders:
    a. Before you delete a POI please be 100% sure it is really not existing anymore or should not be there. Members made an effort to put those in there, not cool for others to just ask for deletion without being sure.

    b. To delete a POI just use a add waypoints tool by Basecamp and put it on top if the POI that you want to delete, then edit the name of the waypoint to say "delete then POI name" then on comments, put in why you want to delete it (ie. closed shop or moved to a different location).

    c. If you are going to move POI, please keep in mind that RG has a Tolerance for accuracy of placement. Meaning that if POI looks like it's in the wrong place distance wise, but can still be easily seen if you are standing at the POI point, then better to leave it. If it is on the other side of the street however, then it needs to be edited. The Waypoints Guide should tell you how to do this, again it uses the waypoints tool.

    d. you asked do you correct the wrong ones and send demo map to the Judge... etc. I guess you though that the map itself is editable. It isn't, the map is fixed, no one can edit the existing demo map anymore, what we are doing is superimposing some waypoints over the map to show what the edits and additions are. These Waypoints are then saved as a gdb file and uploaded in the upload section. Read more about it here:
    http://roadguide.ph/forums/showthrea...ta&p=25#post25

    Upload section is here:
    http://roadguide.ph/forums/forumdisp...load-your-data

Lastly, please reread the FAQ while doing your stuff, as even I still use the FAQ as a guide on what to do:

    Have fun!
