4000 KM RP Roundabout in 10 days with 2 day Boracay RnR

Sharing our 12 day Motorcycling adventure around the Philippines.
The KTM Duke2 MC I used will take any road, and was comfortable enough to get through some of our 500+km days!
Everything I needed fit into the Tank Bag (unextended), Oxford Soft-saddles (unextended), and a backpack

    Our Route:
Davao to Surigao - Half Day
    Surigao to Sorsogon via Butuan
    Sorsogon to Lucena via Tagkawayan
Lucena to San Jose, Nueva Ecija via SCTEX
San Jose, NE to Banaue via Solano then back down to Solano
    Solano to Laoag through Aparri
    Laoag to Alabang via Rosario
    Alabang to Roxas via Batangas
Roxas to Caticlan & Boracay for 2 days R&R
    Caticlan to Bacolod via SanJose-Iloilo-Dumangas
Bacolod to Cebu & RORO overnight to CDO
    CDO to Davao (Half Day)

    RORO RIDES:
Lipata Surigao to Liloan Leyte 3 hours
    Allen Samar to Matnog 90mins
Batangas to Calapan, Mindoro 3.5 hours
    Roxas to Caticlan 4.5 hours
    Dumangas to Bacolod 2 hours
San Carlos to Toledo, Cebu 2 hours
Cebu to Cagayan De Oro (CDO) via Trans Asia3 8.5 hours

around 40k is a safe amount of money to do this. almost 30% of the expenses is for fuel.

let me know if you want more details like road conditions, traffic, hotels, etc. and I'd be glad to assist!

and yes, I do plan to do this again! with a KTM bike of course!

      hi tjader,

great adventure you did! you are truly inspiring!

      question about roro's

when you board the ship with a tank bag and a saddle bag on your bike, do you leave them in the bike when you are in the passenger lounge or do you take them with you wherever you go in the ship?

i would like to do my own bike ride from manila-btangas-mindoro-panay-negros. i am hesitant to take the bag to the lounge as it is heavy and bulky but at the same time i am not comfortable leaving them in the bike even though they are locked.

      what do you do?

thanks and please share some more of your adventures

      jay

      p.s.
does the PPA require you to bring the original OR/CR or will the photocopy do?

      thanks again
