I took a look at the latest demo maps available through Roadguide, and it looks like useful data to share beyond the standard GPS/navigation community. Has anyone been doing work on conversion to other file types? Popular GIS formats like shapefiles or open source OSM files? I notice the data on Open Street Map is a little different to stuff here - has there been any collaboration?
Just trying to work out what has been done already and not re-invent the wheel in terms of sharing/converting. But I can sympathize with the need to keep various unscrupulous elements from selling maps/data at a profit.
