New Bacolod Sinay Airport
Hi Jan,
great new Website, I just started collecting data and recently found out that the new Bacolod Sinay Airport is not currently in the map. Here my collected data, you can direktly import them into GPSmapEdit. I hope this is more simple for you, than if I upload seperated waypoints and tracks. If I have some more time, I will upload all my other waypoints later.
Greetings

luisita sctex connection
phroadmap won't autoroute from luisita to sctex if you're heading southbound to manila. hopefully someone out there could probably send Jan an actual track of this section? {Luisita, Tarlac via SCTEX to Manila}Attached FilesLast edited by John Ryan; 12-14-2008, 21:11.Semper Fi

When stick to road is off (a.k.a. Offroad Navigation setting in Nuvi 205)
Sir Jan, fellow GPS users:
I experimented using the "offroad" (Is this the same as setting the "stick to the road" option to off?) setting in my Nuvi205...and the .gdb file that I uploaded below illustrates just that.
The route starts off from Marcos Highway in Antipolo and the direction of travel is West-North West. I noticed that the tracks that my navigator recorded were really off the road on the map despite the fact that I was driving along the innermost lane of said highway. Could it be that the road on the map does not reflect the actual width of Marcos Highway, which has 6 lanes (3 lanes eastbound + 3 lanes westbound)?
Anyhow, if you trace the route, it would show that for most part of the trip, my vehicle's recorded position didn't really stick to the roads on the map (Phil. routable version 5.17).
Please note that actual tracks were recorded when I made a u-turn at the "EDSA to Timog Ave" U-turn slot. I also circled the Timog-Tomas Morato (Scouts) Roundabout 2x...it was literally like drawing circles on that part of the map .
Route ends @ Eugenio Lopez Road. Also included in the upload are several WPs/POIs. I haven't downloaded the demo map for contributors yet...so, I'm sorry if I ended up duplicating any existing POI's/WPs.
I'll record a reverse route later to see if my "Marcos Highway theory" has basis.
