Sorry, I guess it's just a receiver and can't log tracks on its own.
yep looks to be receiver only. and what a surprise in the PI, quite astronomically priced....
How to get the upgraded map.

    It's a sick world and I'm a happy man...

Yeah. You should see the prices of Garmin units at Infomax, almost double.

Right. I've seen substantially cheaper ones in Singapore/Taiwan stores. Have not seen any in Hong Hong though.

Phil. prices are okay for those who can't wait to play with their new toys. Phil post sucks! even via EMS, the item gathers dust in the local P.O.s.

I bought the device from eBay. Same seller that the Malaysian bought from in the review.

              Data Logger thoughts.

Im looking at these types of devices and thinking how wonderful they would be for rallying. Not only could a participant prove his path, but he could also contribute data to the Roadguide project. Especially if being sent to points of obscurity as in an offroad or dual sport rally or bonus.

This brings to mind cost effectiveness.
              1) What minimum features of resolution etc would be acceptable
              2) Would there be a chance to rent a dozen of these in the Phil for a weekend in say a year from now?

                  Did you get the logger?
                  Satisfied with it?
Did you upload any tracks so we can look for ourselves?

                    Hi Jan,

Welcome back. Yes I did get the logger. Have been using it to record several tracks which I have submitted recently. Will make a brief review soon on its performance (have been quite busy at work lately). Initial impression is that it performs nicely.

Here's the first track I recorded with the device. http://roadguide.ph/forums/attachmen...7&d=1232200990
