elijahpaul is right imho. meaning you can transfer your MC to any device running xt and you're good to go with your maps...

that's weird... i've done this several times. copy the installed mobile xt to any memcard and use it in the orig device that it was registered for and it'll work. use the memcard to any other device and it'll act as an unregistered version. same goes for the contri map.

imo, it's more logical for the software to "lock" on a device rather than a memory card.
